Hello Jerry,

I assume you are in USA but I am in South Africa and have just joined the forum so not too familiar with the Lexan or even wooden paddles. The slipper was the only implement I received as a kid and it's the only one I use on my boys.

From what you are saying about the larger Lexan which you receive at 17 it seems to be designed for older boys and the smaller ones perhaps for younger kids like mine. I must say that I am lucky the larger paddle was not available to my dad when I was 17 as I am sure he would have invested in one. I just wonder however if the smaller version might be ideal for my 2 sons as the slipper is a bit old fashioned although I doubt if it would be on sale anywhere here
