The slipper was the only implement I received as a kid and it's the only one I use on my boys. From what you are saying about the larger Lexan which you receive at 17 it seems to be designed for older boys and the smaller ones perhaps for younger kids like mine. I must say that I am lucky the larger paddle was not available to my dad when I was 17 as I am sure he would have invested in one.
