Definitely. Only Mum went to parent-teacher interviews. I think my Mum went to the office and would collect my report and then went around the various teachers. Thinking about it - an interesting way to do it as the parent wouldn't really have time to read the report before the first interview - but I guess the teacher repeats it all anyway.

The week before I had to go around all my teachers with a sheet and they would assign a time - you would think they would do it online. I was pretty good at this. I imagine I would get a thrashing if I didn't book my Mum in for an appointment and she had to ring the school.

I know she didn't meet with my p.e teacher. Not sure if she meet with my option subject teachers - we did two options subjects a term. But between my English, Maths, Science and Social Studies teachers at least one if not more would give my Mum at least one reason for her to ask Dad to belt me.

Memories do play tricks on you and things are probably more than they were. But I swear I would have got more than 20 licks on my butt. I don't specifically remember this time but marks or slight bruising being visible in the bathroom mirror the next morning was common and sitting at school was often uncomfortable.

Tyler you mentioned your Dad paddling for any missed school assignments. Was this like an important graded assignment or regular homework that didn't count towards final grade? Did your school discipline for missed homework? Where these paddlings from Dad your naked ones?
