 Well, first, I dare to suppose that she doesn't read this forum. Second, when I gave this advice here to Marcus (a then 15-year-old boy in Germany), he started doing it and thanked me for encouraging him because his mom had been really impressed that he apperciated her efforts to improve his behaviour. Surely their emotonal ties became much stronger, though it didn't stop (and should not have stopped) her intention to give him one (later two) weekly maintenance spankings.
