My parents were very strict with me and my sister, with spanking the usual punishment for most misbehavior. We were almost always completely naked for our spankings, even as teens, and we were spanked in front of relatives (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) and others. My husband was similarly raised, including being spanked naked in front of his sister and vice versa. We dreaded our spankings but we grew to realize how effective they were. So it was an easy decision for us when it came time to discipline our own children. We continue to discipline our daughter (now 16) and son (now 14) the same way -- naked in front of each other and others.
