I hope you don't mind; I placed my reply down here as I wasn't sure you'd see it within the middle of everything.

Thank you so much for replying to my earlier post. I enjoyed reading your response. Once again I want to say I really appreciate how understanding you are as a mother. I've read of other moms talk before about how vulgar and disrespectful that sort of reaction is to them, and, if they don't really understand why, then I can see why that would be their response.

Like you said, however, there is a certain thrill associated with spanking from which it is very difficult to detach oneself; even if it's very mild in that sense that people find it amusing to discuss spanking, which I have seen on many occasions.

Currently I am only a young man in my twenties, but I will just be honest in saying that spanking was something I sexualized from a young age. I didn't choose for it to happen, but it did. I think a lot of comes from the fact that the buttocks are a vulnerable and often private area, along with the element of humiliation, combined with the fact that many nerve endings in the buttocks lead to the genitalia. I think it's quite ignorant for a parent, whether they think it right or wrong, to ignore the possiblity of such things occurring simply because it makes them uncomfortable.

I think it's safe to say your son's brain is forming neural pathways with these sexual responses to your spankings, and it's likely something that will stay with him for the rest of his life. I'm certainly no expert, and I can't say for sure that it will happen, but would you be disgusted if this developed into a fetish for your son?
