My grandsons are 11 and 9 years old and often during summer when school is out they spend the day with their Grandma and me while their parents are at work.
Two weeks ago, the eldest started an argument with his a grandma about wanting to go ride his bike over to a friends house. The ride was near a busy road and while there are sidewalks the traffic is moving too fast. He was offered a ride but insisted he wanted to ride and the discussion became more and more disrespectful to the point where I told him he wasn’t going anywhere with his attitude and he needed to right away apologize. His delay and refusal prompted me taking the young man by his shoulders and walking him out back to the metal shed. Upon entering his attitude was replaced by pleas for it not to happen and they continued as I sat down on the metal chair and proceeded to explain why this whoopin was about to come.
His pleas turned to tears as I stood up and told him to drop his shorts and underwear as I removed the leather strap from the nail. Once laying over the chair seat a firm whoopin was given and after it’s ending, my Grandson and I returned to our house weee there were apologizes aplenty for his Grandma.
