You are correct though, there are some days I do it more than once, but first.. why do i think its such a good punishment with or without a spanking.. The bible is FULL of scriptures about the power of words, and watching your tongue, we all forget sometimes to be nice and not tear people down, but kids especially forget about it in the heat of the moment. I feel the taste i the mouth and the memory of the washing helps them to think upon that, so does reading the verses in question during the spanking part of a soaping! Ephesians 4:29 says Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. The most soapings I did for one child in a day is two, I dont want to do more but would if it was a super serious situation, but wouldnt be happy about it. Of course, I have done two and THREATENED more, but the "no mommy nooo please noooo pleeeeeease" seemed to let me know they got the message that day finally lol My daughter tends to be the one who lets things come out of her mouth without thinking, my son, is more quiet and shy, which i kinda love about him its cute. I would advise, my dear, hide bars in different places around the house, back of food cupboards, in mom and dads closet etc, because theyll likely rebel some at first and may even try and hide the soap, mine did that , once and only once LOL let me tell you! Neither would tell me who hid id and where they put it, so I used a small squirt of liquid soap and it got the bar to appear, magic isnt it?
