Hello Loran. We have boys 8 and 10 yo and both know belt well. Started belt as they went to school - around 6. We decided that schoolboy is another level of responsibility so another level of punishments needed. Boys getting belt flat on the bed. Wife has to hold younger one, older one trying to keep position himself (in fact he doesn't lay still but returning to position himself in reasonable time)
