While spanking is not “preached from the pulpit,” obedience (including obedience within the family) is, and the more direct references to spanking discipline are made within the adult Sunday school group discussions. I know that my sister has demonstrated an increased proclivity to use spanking discipline for my nephew after an hour of discussing spanking (and paddling and strapping) with other parents. Just as in this online group, some parents in church are rather quiet and speak in general terms, while others are more outspoken and willing to share highly specific details of their punishment sessions and the benefits they see, as well as their own parental satisfaction in providing the discipline. Regards, Mike >Does anyone else's churches talk about the subject and >have you heard any teachings that made you even more >resolute using old fashioned parenting methods?
