This post is a few months old but I just saw it today.
In years past, our pastor did occasionally go to homes (often the homes of single moms) to give “hands on” assistance in spankings. While such assistance was never used in my childhood home (where there were four adults only too willing to spank), one of my friends got spanked by the pastor a couple of times.
Nowadays, I don’t know of any family who has had a pastoral visit for the purpose of spanking. He did come to my place once as I was about to spank my nephew, and he did watch me spank him, but that was a coincidence and was not the purpose for the visit.
In another vein, our pastor and some of the elders DO counsel, support, and even assist parents with spankings, but I don’t know that any are done as home visits. The only two with which I was involved were done at the church. I won’t say categorically that none have been done in homes, though.
