>How much privacy should children get?

In general, a normal amount. Being all in a kid's business all the time isn't good for their development or preparing them for the real world.

>Do children deserve privacy?

Yes, with the caveat that it can be taken away at some level as punishment.

>Most of us had our shorts pulled down for a spanking

>privacy?

Nah, that's just discipline. Now, spanking in front of a room of people for no reason, that might be violating privacy. Spanking in front of the other parent or a sibling who's next in line? Not at all a violation.

>What about when we were lounging around the house in
>our underwear and parents snapped a picture? Was that
>a violation of our privacy?

I'd say so. But I'm also of the mindset that having pictures of your kids in their underwear is a bit creepy.

>Is privacy for children a good thing?

Yep.
