I got threatened with the belt a few times but it never happened. I consider myself fortunately. My husband talked about getting "Whoopins" with a belt when he was a kid. He said
when his Daddy would take that belt off fold it and then snap it really loud. He would almost pee on himself. Then he'd or his brother, would have to drop their britches and get at least a dozen good licks on their bare butts. He told me the last time his Daddy "whooped" him was actually on the same night I got a spanking for breaking curfew. He got it for being nearly an hour late and for me getting in trouble too. He said that he still got a few from his Momma but that was the last one he got from his Daddy.
