My mom never made any comments about it when it happened. But I strongly believe that's why she stopped spanking me over her knee after I turned eight. She had given me a spanking for eating in the living room, which was forbidden. It was a Saturday morning and my sister and I were watching cartoons. We were both sitting there watching tv and were both in our underwear and wearing t-shirts. I got up and got a snack and took it in the living room knowing full well we weren't allowed to eat in there. Mom woke up to go to the bathroom and when she me eating, she jumped all over me. She pulled one of the kitchen chairs to the living room and then grabbed a hairbrush that was sitting on the coffee table next to the couch. She sat down and made me come to her. Then she was going to blister my bare butt good, to make matters worse, all mom was wearing was a t-shirt and I saw a little more of her than I should and reacted. So when she bent me over her knee, there was full skin on skin contact, which in my condition, was even more embarrassing. I soon forgot about the embarrassment when she went to work on my bare butt with the hairbrush. After the spanking, I had to go stay in my room until lunch time.

She never said anything about my "condition" after the spanking, but that was the last time she ever spanked me over her knee. I got plenty of bare bottom spankings from her, all the way to age fifteen. But never over her knee again.
