Hey Hon, Most of the spankings I got in public were what I call, "Attention Getters". Momma or Daddy usually gave us one or two swats over our clothes with the warning of getting a real spanking in a bathroom, car or at home. There were a couple of times Daddy took me to the car and a few times where Momma took me to a nearby Ladies Room. Those spankings were bare bottom. Also spankings at home usually happened in the living room or sometimes the kitchen and they were always over the knee and bare butt. He has big hands toughened by years of work and while a typical spanking from him was usually no more than ten to fifteen swats, he could really set your bare butt on fire.

You're right about Public spankings being more rare. Although it's not totally uncommon to see a kid get an "Attention Getter" But it's very rare now to see a real spanking, especially a bare bottom spanking in a public place, including in restrooms or cars. I big part of that is because, there are too many people ready to call the police or social services on a parent who dares to even fuss at a child much less spank one. But also, there are way too many creeps with their cell phones ready to take pictures and videos to post online. I guess the one thing that is good or bad depending on how you look at it, is more businesses have put in "Family Restrooms" that are pretty much single occupancy. They are private so you can take your kids to the bathroom no matter if it's a boy or girl and not have to worry about people walking in. Which it's pretty embarrassing for a little boy to have to go to the Ladies Room with their Momma or a Girl to have to go to the Men's Room with their Daddy. But the Family Restrooms also provide a private place for a Momma or Daddy to take a misbehaving child for a spanking when necessary.
