Things changed for me when I was 12 years old. Before then only my Mom spanked, just using her hand and if it was a long spanking, over her knee. Long spankings were bare bottom and in private. When she only wanted to get my attention, I might get 5-6 whacks across whatever clothes I was wearing and it did not matter what family members were around.

At age 12, my parents began using the paddle they used on my 2 older brothers, but always over clothes. If it was something real bad, I had to go to my bedroom, remove my panties and put on thin pajama bottoms. Another thing that changed was my Dad would wield the paddle as well.

Across thin pj pants, that paddle stung like a thousand bee stings and it covered my entire bottom. It would make both my brothers beg for no more. It hung on a nail inside the kitchen pantry and I never got less than 3 licks.
