A yardstick was introduced around age 11/12. Basically seems it was decided that hand smacks were no longer correcting my behaviour so the severity was dialed up.

The intro of the yardstick also meant the length of the spankings went way up. Gone were the days of a few smacks. From this point it was 10+, sometimes about 20!
