I went to a k through 12 Christian school from 1975 to 1987 In Arkansas the paddle was the go to punishment for most things teachers in the hallways to administrators in the office we had no choice but thinking back as a mom and grandmom now I would have taken the paddle it help teach me to behave and to work plus enabled a good learning environment . It was embarrassing to get it in the hallway or the office especially it you wear crying or had trouble sitting down and another spanking at home
