The moment i knew i was in for a huge spanking was when Dad finished a lecture with "Bend! Over! Callum"

This meant going over the back of a dining chair. Once there, Dad whacked us boys much like a Principal/Headmaster might cane a schoolboy. Huge, well spaced whacks with a wooden yardstick.

The number of smacks also varied a lot. Guess between 5 or lesser offences, but reached about 20 for the most grave behaviour. Those long sessions were pain beyond belief
