I never got spanked with the hairbrush over my clothed bottom, but I got a few bare bottom hairbrush spankings. The hairbrush hurt much worse than the hand. I did get paddled at school over my clothing. But for the most part, hand spankings bare at home hurt more than the paddle over my pants.
