You want a simple reply for a complicated question. For some, indeed, it is a form of therapy. For others, it is a remembrance of an America and Europe that has been lost. For others it is a pathway to reconnect with their past, the good and the bad. And those are just a few quick reasons that came to mind.

So, I guess you could say everyone here has their own and unique reason for being here.

Also, speaking only for myself, I never said I was anti-spanking. It has it's time and place. I mean there are hieroglyphs on ancient Egyptian walls that speaking of father's admonishing their children. So it has been used since the dawning of mankind. Just as spanking is still allowed, by law, in the states.

(Although let's make this very clear, speaking only for myself, I can differentiate between spanking and abuse.)

But let us remember this, but back in the day, when spankings ruled, you could walk down the street at two in the morning and be safer than you are now, downtown at noon.

Now I understand that society as a whole was different then, but trust me on this, 'back in the day' teenage boys, they were at home on school nights and in at a reasonable hour the others. And very few ever considered bothering an adult. They had been taught to respect them.

As well, they knew they bothered an adult their parents were going to bother them by baring them and spanking them, their age be damned.

Nostalgia, for a simpler and safer and more mannered time would have to be one of the reasons I am here, and spanking played a direct part in that.
