Without getting drawn too much into the realm of semantics, I do think you have to define, to a certain extent, what you mean here by 'enjoy'! Now if by 'enjoy', you mean spanking the bare behind of some kid or teenager and whilst doing so, not finding the task a disagreeable one and actually feeling a lot of satisfaction in teaching some badly behaved youngster a damned good lesson,then I think I can say unequivocally my parents 'enjoyed' spankig me!

In addition, if when spanking me they, whilst primarily doing so for disciplinary purposes, when confronted with two chubby, bare buttocks staring up at them, which would soon be, as they were soundly spanked, bouncing up and down, jiggling around and rapidly reddening, for even a fleeting moment, think the situation rather comical, cute and sweet and even mildly erotic and sexually stimulating, then again I strongly suspect - though I am not a mind reader - that yes they may have 'enjoyed' spanking me!

I suspect that is probably as far as, 'enjoyment wise' things went with my parents! But not being, as I say a mind reader, I cannot know this for certain!

With the 'disclaimer' that I cannot speak for others and their own experiences I will nevertheless state that, in my humble opinion, the 'enjoyment' in both a non-sexual and erotic/sexual way, was more widespread than may have been thought! And as many other forum posters have said; in the America of 80, 70, 60 and 50 years ago "anything was possible!"
