Among the kids I grew up with, all our parents had given spanking permission to each other, to feel free to give any child in their jurisdiction a spanking any time they felt they could use one. As I said in other responses here, they always began with the command, "Strip, and stand in the corner." This was an act of submission, and a sign that you accepted the justice of what was about to happen. If you resisted in any way, you got a second spanking after the post spanking corner time from the first. They were also given in front of whoever happened to be around, and to whoever were the culprits. Over the years I saw all of my friends spanked nude, as well as all of their siblings, boys and girls, and they saw me. It was not such a big deal though, because we all swam naked down at the swimming hole in the creek that ran down in back of the pasture of my best friend's family's farm.
