I also want to clear this up. Just because my Stepmom and sepsis were strict concerning rules and discipline does not mean they didn't care for me. I had the best days with them because they would take me everywhere with them to outings and shopping and supplied all my needs.
They were also cosy with me at home and never ignored me.
Also the spankings, although frequent were never too harsh in spite of the embarrassment involved.
