Yes I think it is certainly more intimate than other positions, James. And it could indeed be viewed as being warmer,more personal and more comforting. Also I suppose it could be seen as more juvenile, childish and humiliating. And the end result can still be a very hot, sore and tender bottom! My stepmom, Carrie gave many an ample demonstration of that! Lol

It is though still the classic and timeless position that I automatically think of when it comes to spanking!
