Hi Chamed,

I was born in nineteen fifty two, so was very much of your own generation. I too remember those relaxed attitudes to nudity. I remember kids, both boys and even very young girls swimming naked in the creek and even in some open air swimming pools. As the girls got older they would wear something and once the boys approached puberty they too would have some clothes on. But when kids were really young and still quite small, like you say "no one really cared"!

As a young child, before I approached puberty, it would be the other kids bottoms that excited and fascinated me. The girls bottoms were normally fuller and more chubby than the boys. And of course frequently both the boys and girls bottoms would be 'marked', bearing testimony to a recent spanking or whupping. This would be noticed by the other moms as well and would often start a conversation about spanking. In which the reason for the spanking or whupping would be given or a general discussion about the virtues of "good ole fashion spankin's" would take place. There would be the usual comments about "cute liitle bottoms"; how this or that kid had the "sweetest heinie/tushie ever", etc... And in those day no one thought anything of this! We kids were careful when it came to teasing other children about the marks on their bottoms in case our own mom might summon us out of the water for a spanking ourselves. Or the promise of one later when we got home! It was astonishingly easy to earn yourself a spanking back then!!

And of course there would inevitably be the usual warnings and threats about spankin's and whuppin's. If children got a bit disorderly, overexcited or rough. "Do you wanna spankin', young man/lady?"; "I'll put you 'cross my knee if you don't stop that now!"; "You're gonna get a whuppin, I'm tellin' you!" etc.... And often you would witness a spanking or whupping take place. I got some public spankings myself on those occasions. All very normal and common back in those days!
