My cousin is the oldest of the grandkids with a weird age gap between the rest of us that lived locally. I am guessing when this happened, she was probably 17, the twins were probably 12, and my brother was probably around 9. I do know she had him drop his pants and underwear and probably hit him about 20 times with the spoon bent over a table from overhearing my brother tell my parents what happened as they were determining whether to spank him again. I think they decided Carmen did a good job and let it be.

She had plenty of chances to spank me but I don't think she ever did (like I said, she wasn't a saint and always wanted to talk with whatever boyfriend she had when she was babysitting). I don't think she spanked her brothers regularly, but I don't think it was unheard of. From the time she was about 13, she was the default family babysitter.
