My dad, who did probably 90% of the spankings concentrated on my butt, though I distinctly recall a few times where I managed to get my hand in the way, and being instantly shocked by unbelievable sting of three or four spanks on the backs of my legs. I recall it because between my howls I babbled "THAT'S MY LEG! NOT ON THE LEGS!" The message was loud and clear and it made me get the hand out of the way.

One of the very few spankings I got from my mom at around age eleven was particularly memorable because my dad wasn't home and she decided I needed a spanking with no wait. Since she couldn't find my dad's paddle, she went to the bathroom and got a big flat wooden bath brush. Not only did she absolutely and rapidly blister my butt with that thing, but there were at least a half dozen on the legs just below the butt. When I checked in the mirror after that spanking, I had big, dark red squares from mid butt down onto the tops of my legs.
