I never got corner time as part of a spanking. I had to go to my room or stay there if I was spanked in my bedroom until I was told I could come out and rejoin the family. Usually an hour or two. It gave me time to cry it out and recompose myself.

If it was after dinner, and I had been told I was being punished, I got my spanking and then it was bedtime.
