Oh Sweetie. I got scolded before spankings from both Momma and Daddy. I don't think I ever got a spanking at home that didn't start with a scolding or lecture. I would stand there and sometimes try to defend myself or beg for mercy. Then I would be told to pull my pants/panties down and turn over their knee. With Daddy, the talking was usually over when the spanking started. Sometimes, Momma continued fussing at me even as she spanked me and when she let me up off her lap after. But honestly, during and after the spanking, I really couldn't hear much of what she said because I was crying so loud. After the spanking was over, I could usually go about my business, but I usually went to my room to "check out the damage" and to cry it out. If I stayed in my room very long after, Momma or Daddy would usually come to check on me. We would talk about what happened and why. Then I'd usually get a big hug or a kiss on the head. My butt still hurt of course, but I understood why I got punished and I was forgiven and the slate was clean.
