I was definitely no hero before a spanking. Neither were my siblings or cousins. I don't think many kids were! In my case and that of my siblings and cousins it was the first hand experience OF JUST HOW MUCH SPANKINGS HURT that brought on all the tears, sobbing, pleading and begging! It was always to no avail though our pre-spanking crying being dismissed as 'crocodile tears' and the pleading and begging as being 'insincere' with the promise that once the spanking started we would 'have something to truly protest and complain about'! And my parents, aunt and uncle were always true to their wotd!!
