Funny to find a reference to my experience so many years later)
There was a woman Olga in that long conversation who also took part in the same activity at her summer camp, but from the opposite side - she bathed the younger boys. Though it was not the same summer camp and different years, our memories were almost the same, differed only in some minor details.

I copied some words from Olga's message, too:
"All girls (including me), who were invited to help counselors with boys' bathing, had own younger brothers and had such experience. At least, for me (and I can tell for many other girls) it was usual 'older sister role' and boys were little children for us only. It wasn't fun, it wasn't big problem, it was usual thing then.

Well not a big deal but she willingly shared her experience which means that this activity left a mark in her memory at least as much as in mine.
