I was 9 when I saw my cousin, who was 13, so a situation very similar to yours (9.5 - 12).
Did you have your first pubic hair like my male cousin, or hadn't you started developing it yet?
After that episode, I also sometimes spontaneously looked at my brother staring at his crotch, remembering that moment, but I never made fun of him.

I was just into puberty so yes I had some hair. My balls had dropped and penis was definitely growing. I saw her eyes get really big when I first dropped my pants, I think because she remembered me as a little boy.

He was also similar to what you described.
So I can understand why your sister's eyes got big... because I did the same thing too... I didn't expect to see my cousin's penis, much less with hair.

I was pretty embarrassed but knew I just had to endure it at that point. Afterwards I stood up to her grinning and knew she had been staring.

Later, at home, did you broach the subject with your mom? Did you explain your embarrassment by asking that your sister no longer attend your annual physical? Was that the only time, or did it happen again?

I didn't bother bringing it up with my mom. She made her stance clear when i objected in the exam room. Sis accompanied me one more time after that. I was 13 at the time. After that I stopped getting the sports physicals wish was the reason she was coming with me. The second time I knew what to expect so I stood with my back to her when the pants came down. The doctor still had me hop up on the exam table so she still got to see the boy parts but for not as long.
