Yes, on vacation in France in particular from about 9 to 14. I was nearly always naked or bottomless at the beach. In the afternoons my mum would sometimes put me in a T-shirt if it looked like I might get sunburned.
As we went to campsites near the beach I was often naked or just in a T-shirt walking to and from the beach and often played naked at the campsite as well.
Although it may seem inappropriate now, it did not use to be an issue or abnormal. I would add that I looked very young for my age (even at 14 I could easily pass for an 11 or 12 year old) so this probably also made my nudity more acceptable and I was pretty unselfconscious most of the time, so generally enjoyed it.

That sounds great. Were you oldest doing that at 14 or did it not matter? I was trimmed after 13 from all swimming I did and still joined younger boys in group.
Did you stay at campsite every year? Campsites seem to be more nude tolerant.

So yes, me and my friend who was the same age (our families holidayed together) were probably the oldest kids still naked although there were topless girls of all ages. Neither of us looked our age though so we fitted in with the younger kids. I recall being a little embarrassed to start with in front of younger girls.
Yes we stayed at a campsite every year, usually the same one. And yes although it was not specifically a nudist site, there seemed to be no rules regarding clothes. There was a kids pool at the campsite and many of us, especially young boys, went naked.

That is interesting as I would camp with friends and see same thing. Other than beach and bayard pool it is one of places I would go naked.
There were common showers. I would walk with other boy to shower building naked after breakfast. It was tolerant of boys at that time. I would see girls in shower room with dads sometimes but not often. We did not have a pool but a lake.
