I'll never forget the summer I spent at that lacrosse program near Buffalo. I was just a teenager, and the whole setup caught me completely off guard.
The gymnasium itself was massive, but what struck me immediately was something I'd never seen before—two separate facilities: one marked "Boys" and another marked "Men."
But nothing could have prepared me for what happened after practice. I stood there, absolutely stunned, watching as the other boys casually stripped down completely naked before jumping into the pool. It was like they'd done this a thousand times before—totally normal to them, but I was in disbelief. I only went along with it because of the peer pressure, though I have to admit, the shock wore off faster than I expected.
I still can't quite wrap my head around—was learning that nude swimming and calisthenics weren't just encouraged, they were mandatory for us boys butthe girls in the summer program had the option to participate the same way. AFter swimming we had basically unsupervised free play and boys would leave nude sometimes.
