I'm not defending Martina because she should have asked your permission before touching you. I'm just saying that I understand her desire to touch a boy, given the opportunity. And the fact that you also want to touch girls confirms that it's a normal and mutual desire. The important thing is to ask permission before doing so, and both of you must agree. I wasn't angry with Carlotta. She asked, and both my sons gave her permission, so it's okay with me too. As I've told you a thousand times, you kids shouldn't be embarrassed to be naked at home and on the beach. It should be the norm. They should ban swimsuits for prepubescent children by law (and even a little later for boys...). However, changing a diaper is a very intimate moment, different from being naked on the beach. You feel vulnerable and embarrassed because you're treated like babies. So I understand what you're saying, and in fact, if I were your mother, I would have allowed Martina to see you naked on the beach, to apply sunscreen, to watch you bathe like I did with Carlotta, but not to change your diaper. I would have closed the door and done it in private.

Lucia, if I were to hypothetically find myself sleeping at your house and you had to put me in diapers, would you let Francesco and Tommaso stay in the room, since they're boys? My cousins are always watching me.

I'd be super happy if you stayed over to sleep at our house after playing all afternoon with Francesco and Matteo. That would be great! You'd be the one to decide: if you let me, I'd let him come in and watch, but if you were embarrassed and would prefer it to be just you and me, I'd respect your decision and they'd wait outside the door.

My impression of Francesco and Tommaso is that of two well-behaved children. I'd still be embarrassed, but perhaps I'd let them watch.

Sometimes they get angry and disobey, too—they are children, after all—but I'm happy and proud of them.
I think there shouldn't be any awkward moments between the three of you. You should all be naked at home, bathing together or in the same room, without shame. But as I wrote before, diaper changing is a very private moment, so only you can decide whether they should stay in the room and watch or wait outside with the door closed. This wouldn't change their opinion of you in any way, and you would remain great friends whatever your choice.

I'm not used to choosing these things: usually my parents decide for themselves whether I should be naked or not. Anyway... it would depend on Francesco... if he's much bigger than me in the private parts, I'd be afraid of Carlotta making comparisons. She might say to me: "Matteo, your penis is smaller than Francesco's."

If I had to decide (but you're a guest and a friend, so I can't embarrass you), I'd always let you be naked, just like my children. When they're dressed, you're dressed, too; when they're naked, you're dressed, too. Fair. Play together, eat together, bathe together, sleep together. All this if Carlotta isn't there.
If she's there, however, I'd do the same, except for your diaper changes, where it'd be just the two of us, and they'd be outside. But your baths and your games would be with her present (and you present with hers). However, if this makes you very uncomfortable, we'll find a solution that works for you too, when she's there. Francesco's penis and balls are both larger than Tommaso's. However, he's only been developing for a couple of months, so they're not as big as those of a boy in the midst of puberty. They're still quite boyish, even if they've grown a bit. You don't have to worry about being embarrassed by a comparison. Carlotta might eventually notice the lack of your pubic hair, but she's intelligent and sweet and sensitive, so I don't think she'll make any awkward comments.

You absolutely don't have to be embarrassed about this. Francesco remembers very well when Tommaso was in diapers (until 2 years ago) and he knows what it smells like in the morning.

I'm curious:
Do you want all children to go naked specifically at beaches and swimming pools?
Or do you want all children to go naked period?
If the latter is the case, you might be interested in a thread entitled "Found this place" at the following URL:
The parents in those stories not only keep their children nude at home, but make them play nude outside four seasons of the year, make them eat meals in restaurants nude, and make them walk across town nude for music lessons.
It seems that sexual abuse hysteria is hitting many other countries besides my own,
so I question that such stories are even possible.
I am currently writing a novel about a school system which requires all boys to attend school nude.
I doubt if anyone will ever take my suggestion seriously,
but it is pleasant to have such an event taking place in my imagination.
