Date Posted: 05:24:53 03/26/26 Thu In reply to: Sarah 's message, "Mom And/Or Dad Buying Novelty Paddles" on 07:58:48 03/24/26 Tue The last time we took a family vacation down in Gulf Shores my mini-me and I went shopping in the gift shops while Mark took the boys to a couple of Arcades. One of the gift shops was set up like an old country store. It had a large selection of novelty items as well as clothes, toys and so forth. One of those sections had old wooden novelties that looked hand made although they were more likely mass produced. Among those items were Novelty Paddles that had sayings and pictures on it. One said, "Genuine Hyde Tanner" another said, "Never hit a child on the face, nature invented a better place." and it had a cartoon picture of a glowing bottom on it. Another said, "Board of Education", "Heat for the Seat" and I saw one that I remembered seeing when I was kid in different gift shops and tourist traps growing up that I heard an online friend talking about getting spanked with as a child. It had a picture of a deer and a bear on it and it said, "For a Cute Little Deer, with a Bear Behind." Even though I'd probably never use it, I thought about buying it. I called Amie-Lynn over and said, "Hey Baby Girl, look what I found." She laughed and said, "Don't get any ideas Momma." I picked up the paddle and had her take a picture of me holding it. A really nice older woman walked by and said, she'd take a picture of us together. So Amie-Lynn handed her the phone, then walked over in front of me and bent over with her hands on her knees and she took a couple of pictures holding the paddle up like I was going to spank her. My girl was laughing the whole time we were doing this. Then woman nodded and winked at me. I knew exactly what she meant, and since Amie-Lynn's shorts completely covered her bottom I gave her a pop on the butt with the paddle. It wasn't hard enough to really hurt, but she was surprised, straightened back up, grabbed her butt with both hands and said, "MOMMA!" She wasn't upset and was laughing, but she was surprised that I smacked her butt with it. We all laughed and Amie-Lynn got her phone back, thanked the woman and hugged her. We looked at the pictures I thanked her too and she went on her way. I commented, "I think I need to buy that paddle." and my daughter said, "Oh No Momma, don't be getting any ideas." Then she took it out of my hands and laid it on a shelf. I was laughing and leaned over to pick up my purse and then I felt a smack across my butt. Since my bottom was covered completely by my shorts and the swimsuit under it, it didn't hurt but is sure surprised me. I rubbed my butt and turned to see, my Mini-Me standing there with the paddle in her hand laughing. I said "You little brat!" She laughed and said, "I love you Momma!" I tried to act mad and told her, "Give me that paddle" but she hung it back on the rack, and said, "OH NO not this time!" then started playfully pushing me down the aisle. I wasn't really upset at all we just both laughed and continued our shopping. I did seriously think about buying that paddle, but not particularly to spank the kids with but to hang up more as a decoration. Although from what I've heard, as a real spanking implement, they are too thin to be effective on anything other than a bare bottom. From what other's have told me on a bare bottom they could sting quite a bit. We haven't made our plans for this year's Summer Vacation yet. Who knows? We might have to make a trip back to Gulf Shores this year? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
