we spanked bare bottoms. Like others, we liked to know the state of their bottom. But from ancient history in the 1960s, as a teen my wife wore panty girdles (like most teen girls). She said that to spanked in one was worse to getting it bare. It compressed the skin, The heat stayed longer and it was constantly squeezed the sore bottom. Not a concern these days but in 1960.
