 Yesterday I gave my seven (almost eight) year old daughter her first hairbrush spanking. The issue was lying, something which has been of particular concern to me. She has been warned of late that lies were going to be punished with a hairbrush spanking. But to no avail (and I am at fault for letting it be an empty threat ).

Yesterday she got into the snack jar and snuck herself a treat. In between meal snacks are a no no without prior permission. I asked her about it. She lied. I sent her to her bedroom. Then I came in with the hairbrush. Eyeballs were wide.

I told her she was first going to be punished for breaking the rule on snacks. I hand spanked her in the legs up position.

After letting her legs down I briefly explained she was now going to be punished for the lie. I put her over my lap and she got twelve spanks with the brush.

I got a very sincere sounding mea culpa
