Wondering about a Fiance Visa -- Donna, 10:09:23 04/15/02 Mon
I met my fiance online 2 years back. At the time we were just friends. 6 months back all that changed. We realized we were more than friends and want too be together forever. Problem is...we have only emailed and called each other. He lives in germany...and I live in usa. We want too apply for a fiance visa. I am wondering..is emailing too each other enough for the past 2 years or will there be more required? I cant afford too go see him...we are ready too take the money saved too get him here and bypass that foolishness. Any advice anyone?

WHAT TO DO? -- CONFUSED, 10:35:59 06/26/02 Wed
ABOUT A 1.5 MONTHS AGO I GOT ONLINE AND MEET A GUY. I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. WE SEEMED TO HAVE A IMMEDIATE CONNECTION. WE TALKED FOR SEVERAL HOURS THE FIRST TIME AND I WAS HOOKED ON IT. AFTER THAT WE WERE ONLINE WITH EACH OTHER FOR A MINIMUM OF FOUR HOURS A DAY, EVENTUALLY WE STATRED TALKING ON THE PHONE(ONCE FOR 12 HRS). WE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT EACH OTHER IN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. HE HAD BEEN THOUGH THE INTERNET DATING THING BEFORE. HE WAS ENGAGED TO ONE GIRL AND WAS STILL SORT OF IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH ANOTHER. BY THE TIME WE MEET SHE HAD BLOWN HIM OFF THOUGH. WE HAD LOTS OF TALKS ABOUT MEETING. WE HAD EVEN HAD TALKS ABOUT A FUTURE TOGETHER. WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN SHE POPPED BACK INTO THE PICTURE. HE FELT VERY CONFUSED AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I ALWAYS STAYED BY HIS SIDE. FINALLY HE COMPLETELY BROKE IT OFF WITH HER AND I THOUGHT WE COULD PURSUE THIS. THEN HE DECIDED HE COULDN'T HANDLE THE LDR THING AGAIN, WE LIVE IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. THE PREVIOUS TWO RELATIONSHIPS HAD PUT THERE TOLL ON HIM. WE HAVE CONTINUED TO TALK AND THE SPARK IS STILL THERE EXCEPT HE IS SO SCARED HE TRIES TO BRUSH IT ASIDE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I HAVE NEVER FELT THIS WAY ABOUT ANYONE BEFORE. THE AMOUNT OF TIME WE HAVE INVESTED IN THIS IS TREMENDOUS. I AM HAVING A HARD TIME LETTING IT GO. WHAT SHOULD I DO OR HOW SHOULD I PROCEED? DO I JUST GIVE HIM TIME AND HE WILL SEE? HELP ME!
