ok, so you messed up. if you did the deed with your ex before you and your new girl have started your relationship, then you basically do not have to come clean.

if you cheated, then you owe it to her to be honest, especially since she cleaned up her drug use.

i know i am going to say something that many MANY people (including myself) do not agree with, but i dont think there is a need to tell her unless you and she were already involved in an intimate, commited relationship. if you and she were just getting to know one another and had yet to delare yourselves an item, then it may not be worth the hurt you will cause her by confessing to your action. are you ready to re-establish the trust she now has for you? that is what will have to happen if you tell her and she chooses to stay with you. unless you are a repeat offender, keep it to yourself. tell someone you know you can trust, or if you are a church-goer, depending on your denomination, go to confession.

no need to be so dramatic about it. you are a human being, with human tendancies. no one is perfect 100% of the time, so relax.
