Subject: Stags get a mention

Go to caazone.com, in their mid-major top 25 poll we do get a mention in the "others" section. I don't understand not getting at least a vote in the other poll, since we beat UNC-Wilmington & Yale. You would think Harnum would at least give us avote to help the league.

Of course he was quoted as saying Gai had "no offensive awareness", I guess he should consider himself lucky, if Gai had "awareness he might have torched his team for 48.

I don't mind the lack of recognition. It's a good motivational tool. Look at the Tennessee Titans. Not one all-star on that football team, and they're playing for the AFC championship. Nothing wrong with having a giant chip on your shoulder.

Respect comes with victories. We'll get there.

85-86 team got no respect and ended up going 16-1 in the MAAC. No better way to silence the critics than to win.

This team will not get noticed until and unless they beat Siena and Manhatten. If Fairfield wins both those games, you will start to see them getting votes.

These poles are frankly a little biased. Coaches make "Deals," i.e. if you yale coach vote for my team I will vote for yours. How many of the team with coaches on the panel received votes? You can bet the number is high. Only teams coaches with dismal records fail to vote for their own teams. Anyway, this team is 3 to 4 wins away from getting noticed, and in my opinion rightly so. They are only 8-5, and don't have a quality win. Sure, we beat Yale (an ivy) and UNC wilmington, but we also lost to charlestown southern. Manhatten on the other hand beat St. Johns, Iona beat NC and Siena beat providence. All better wins then any games won by the stags.
