Subject: CT Post - Mcleod gives Gai advice

Lots of quotes from Mcleod.... that basically say for him to talk to TOT about what he wants. Gai needs some basic things to ensure that his career goes in the right direction, I would would hope that Fairfield can provide that.

Sounds like Mcleod has constant contact with Gai..... but it sounds to me those conversations keep the transfer option open..... not a good thing. I am glad that Mcleod is at least correct that he need to talk to TOT. Gai needs to talk to the people that have helped him get to this point.

mcloud needs to stay away from deng. he has no business giving any advice to him at all. he already knows that he has overstepped his bounds and is now just trying to do some cya. mclouds transfer situation does not realte at all to dengs as mcleod was aready an accomplished player. the idea of deng even thinking about plying in the big 10 is a foolish idea. deng needs a lot of growth on the basketball court and that is only going to happen with playing time. If he is worried about his offense, then michigan is not the answer, he will not even see the ball.

I'm not trying to read into this, but does this imply TOT needs to communicate more frequently, individually with players. I don't know, but I hope good comes out of it, and TOT begins having upbeat one-on-one's with each of his players. Gai, being as sensitive as he seems, maybe is just a higher-than-average maintenance personality who needs some strokes and reassurances.

I hope the fans show their support for Gai in the NIT. We want him back!
