Subject: If You Think TOT Has It Rough...

Check out the websites below.

UCLA's Steve Lavin has won 20+ each of his first 5 years. He has gone to the NCAA tourney all 5 years, advancing several times, but this year he only has twice as many wins as Fordham and the UCLA fans are out for blood.

There is also a good article on Lavin's plight in today's Washington Post sports section (www.washingtonpost.com)

I predict that Georgetown will be looking for a new coach soon. Esherick is in next to last place in his division and is barely above .500 despite playing a cupcake OOC schedule.

Not to mention Hill @ Fordham. The NY Times did a hatchet job on him today, comparing him very un favorably to Bobby Gonzalez of Manhattan.

They point out that Gonzalez took over ateam that was 5-22 in '99 & in less than 4yrs has them sitting atop the MAAC! They call him one of the hottest young coaches in the country & predict he'll be offered jobs with more prestigious conf.

What is even more ominous they point out that even if he does leave this years team only has 1 senior! so even if they have a new coach they'll still be loaded. Interesting that Gonzalez has a Fairfield connection(however remote) in that he was an ass't under Pete Gillen @ Va.
