Sorry don't mean to ignore the women. Unfortunately with so much turmoil on the men's side one takes for granted the excellent job Coach Nolan is doing. With all the injuries to key players & integrating new players its amazing she has them positioned for a run come tournament time. Here's looking for a big upset Thurs evening.

I agree. Without Isidora (arguably the school's best player ever), Ayana Brown, and Kate Hammerer (Brown's replacement), Dianne has them poised for a run at the tournament championship. Although they will be definite underdogs vs. Manhattan & Siena, we have learned that come tourney time anything can happen. This could turn out to be Nolan's best coaching job yet.

i don't think is credited to diane nolan, i think this is to a team finally learning how to mesh well together. i think a huge impact has been on the play of ivanna podrug the freshman, and yvette rutherford stepping up immensely. yvette has always mad a impact when going it, but diane is finally letting her play. you have to remember that the stags were right with manhattan last game until the end of the 2nd half, and they only lost to 3rd place st petes by 2 in overtime, where they should have won. Siena is always a tough time for the stags, but they are due for a lose by the lady stags. i see an upset too on thursday.

Anyone know if Dianne is trying to lure Ayana Brown back to school? I have no inside information, but it would make a lot of sense. She still has two years of eligibility, and she wouldn't have to sit out.

Would Brown even be open to the possibility?

Haven't heard anything about Brown, but she could defenitly help.
Have heard rumblings about Fairfield's Courtney Upshaw, who left Penn State, transferring to FU. She would also be a major addition.

IMO, the addition of Brown or Upshaw would be a huge distraction and could quite possibly upset the chemistry of what is developing into a soild team. Re-introducing Schrene Isadora, Kate Hammerer and newcomer Candace Lindsay to the program will be enough of an adjustment for this group next season. It might also retard the development of current freshman Ivana Podrug and Clare Faurote. Besides, even with taking only Lindsay for next year, that gives FF 13 players. They don't need 14 or 15.

In addition, did anyone catch the halftime salute to the 3.0 club at halftime Sunday? I'm pretty sure there were 9 members of the women's team out there. That's a pretty good group of student athletes!

What's the story with Rusie and Murphy? They were highly touted. Do they play much?
