Joe...I kinda agree with RayS here. I've made off color remarks that didn't refer to the school, coaches, or players...and they were removed. You have to be fair across the board here. Would it be okay to call her an a***ole? Just bantering between posters, right? Her comments are hostile and provoking. Am I offended? Well, nothing offends me. But others have expressed their concerns regarding her posts and they seem to fall on deaf ears. You do a great job w/ the board JoeStag, but you can't have it both ways. Be consistant.

The great thing about computers, is that they save everything. I don't actually "delete" posts, I "Hide them"..... so I have a history of everything that I have done.
Just too let you know, the only posts I Delete/Hide are those posts that don't show respect for players, coaches and administrators. They usually have some type of name-calling and disrespect.
I normally do not delete posts because of Bantering or silly trash talk between posters..... I tell them to stop, and Tell them to get back to Hoops. Check the record.
FB, BTW when I did my search thru history, I found some funny posts of yours..... one refferring to you wanting to pull schrappenal out of another posters @ss.... I did not delete that one either. Did you ever pull any of that schrappenal????
And Ray, I was not referrering to you when I told posters to stop Bantering. It was directed to TruthRuth's response to Stag92.

Joe, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all feel you are doing a great job running this board. We all appreciate you efforts and I respect you decision not to remove the post below. I think when in doubt you should let posters opinions be heard, unless they say something overtly unfair or false concerning a player or coach.
With that being said, I join FreeBeer, RayS and stag 92 in saying that this poster needs to be monitored closely because clearly they are crossing the line. I come here to read about stag basketball not to read trash talk directed at posters whose opinions I respect and enjoy.
The poster in questions adds no meaningful discourse on basketball, posts blantant falsehoods, and when corrected just continues to re-post the same ludicrous lies. I have yet to see an insightful or meaningful post come from this individual, rather most posts are simply put out to insight a negative response, and to create bantering. I hope you will continue to monitor this individual, and as appropriate remove posts or threaten this individual with expulsion from the board. Everyone on this board cuts others slack when they make a mistake, break a rule and try to correct. Originally I cut TR a lot of slack. But it is clear that this poster has made no effort to get his facts straight or to stick to basketball.....

Joe - I can go back in the archives, pull every TruthRuth post, and find minimal that actually deal directly with Fairfield basketball. The mere fact that the attacks are directed at me is fine, because personally, if I meet this individual, I will deal with them appropriately. That being said, let us know if everything is fair game. You continue to leave her (sounds like a woman) posts on the Board, even after many posters tell you that they are upset.
We have talked several times at games, and I appreciate your insights and administration of this Board. But Jesus Christ, what are you thinking leaving this BS on the board, when everyone is telling you to get it off!! I can get as nasty as anybody, but choose not to anymore. But if you want to let the Board go to that level, and I don't think that you will, than everybody shoot banter, swear, talk about how psychotic everyone is, etc. I find a distinct difference between anything free_beer posts and TruthRuth.
Again, personally, I don't care that the attacks are on me, but why do you want this on the Board. It is not bantering, it is talking about an FU education, etc. Bob, wake up here.

People post unfair and false information all the time. I do not delete or ban people every time that is done. I only do it if it is damamging to the University, its players, coaches or administrators.
Is TruthRuth's statements about "TOT's great record as compared to Coach K's or prior Fairfield Coaches" anymore unfair or false as compared to people that say "TOT has NEVER won a close game", or "TOT has NEVER won a close game"....... its no different. I disagree with both points of view, and are there false statements in both..... Yes. Will I delete and ban people every time that happens..... NO
Have I banned posters in the past just because a group posters do not like what another poster is saying..... NO. Have I been ask to do so.... sure.
I do not want to misuse the power I have in controlling who or what is posted, I think that is dangerous, and will destroy what the Message board is about. I deal in how a post negatively affects the the University, its players, coaches or administrators..... which I take very seriously.
I do agree that I should monitor the TruthRuth situation closely..... It is causing too much useless bantering posts and it has become personal. I will ask TruthRuth, and ALSO those Posters that have been responding to her to keep the dissusions about HOOPS, and not make it Personal.
