I saw the highlights on TV and all I saw was an empty arena. It looked like a MAAC opening round game in Canada.

There really is something to be siad for smaller, more intimate gyms, with a packed house.

5,250 fans, a near record for the Arena, were at this game. TV coverage may have scanned the 2 areas behind the baskets, where few sit. Hopefully someday this too will change as an improved team will draw a larger fan base, one similar to Siena's. I'd be will to bet that next year's Duke game will be SRO!

Unfortunately, the TV Camera's at the Bridgeport Arena point to the side of the court where most of the Non-season Ticket Holders sit, and also opposite from the students. This is a real issue for any television game as the breakdown of fans on each side of the court was probably:

TV Side - 1,200 fans
Non-TV side - 4,000 fans

Thats a guesstimate, but I have to be pretty close..... and that would be a big issue when trying to show a good crowd over TV
