Wagner- year 2
Samford- year 4
I just went through every mid major auto bid winner this year and their coaches years at the school:

Stetson- year 5
Montana State- year 1
Longwood- year 6 (2 bids)
Charleston- year 3 (2 bids)
Drake- year 6 (3 bids)
Morehead St- year 7 (2 bids)
Colgate- year 13 (5 bids)
McNeese St- year 1
South Dakota St- year 5 (2 bids)
James Madison- year 4

The data is very clear: Every coach has either made the tournament within their first 5 years as coach of the school, or has had multiple NCAA tournament bids during their tenure. Pecora is in his 1st year at Quinny, so that would check out. Bottom line is that if it hasn't happened yet for Paulus, it probably never will. Just not food enough

I'm not saying to drop GP, but the fact remains that Niagara's recruits have not been good enough to get back to the NCAA Tournament.

Hell, we can't even get back to the NIT, CBIT, or the mid-major CBI.

The last successful Niagara HC was Joe Mihalich.

If you were going to play basketball in the MAAC would you want to play at Niagara ? Look at the facilities of Fairfield and Quinnipiac. Those two venues alone shout play here !

Paulus would be better off as an assistant at a high major program, where winning would benefit his future as per a HC position at a major or high major program.

I have been a Niagara fan since the late 1950s and I'm here to tell you this program is for shit and always will be.
