Trask Coliseum is a nice facility. The same conference as Hofstra to which JM fled to. Better tanning weather than here. Short drive to Myrtle Beach. I guess I can understand. Good luck. He never really found his stride here.

He finally did start to show improvement last year. A problem with this current portal is that a player, like Obioha, was totally raw when he enrolled at Niagara. He spent 2.5 years in the program losing 50 lbs and learning some basketball skills. Next year, he could be an impact player at a high mid major. NU fronted the cost for his development expecting a payback. Now, someone else gets the potential payback.
I see no reason why colleges should try to develop young players. Schools like Niagara should concentrate on transfers with at least 2 years of college experience.

Isn’t the purpose of college to develop and improve young people?

Good observations, Philly.

Nothing is going to change for the best, it's only going to get worse; and that's a fact ! So either get lucky in the portal or suffer the consequences : LOSING SEASONS & FIRED COACHES.

Many of these kids will never graduate from college.

I mentioned this another thread.

I'd love to see the numbers across all D1 sports on the matriculation of players who

Do not transfer and spend four years
Transfer once
Transfer twice
etc.

It has to be close to 0 for two transfers...

You're probably right...these multi-transfer guys almost never graduate.

Many of these kids will transfer to the School of Hard Knocks. No free education, no free meals, no free housing, no bright future; sounds a lot like LOL's existence.
