Actually March 4 regarding Jada’s contract expiring this year and Paulus’ next year. As far as the Bona situation goes, I tend not to comment on things I Don’t know anything about. Schmidt indicated that he was retiring in the press conference after the game. Had positive things to say about Bonaventure and Olean. Even though he was making over a million per year, he and his family were a part of the community. Pure class and in 19 years his players were always great representatives of the school. Was he pushed out or nudged out? Appears Bona is going to hire a coach at less money and use some of the salary for NIL. Hate this day and age in college athletics.

Oh and Purp you said Bonaventure would never win the A10. Schmidt had 4 A10 championships! Don’t give too much credibility to stuff written on a message board. Can’t see Joe Gallo coming to Bonaventure. He is at alma mater, likes living in New England and is in the mix at BC and Providence. Think he is a great coach and his 2-3 zone stifles offenses. The Bona board is ripping apart Mike MacDonald who I think is a great bench coach though I can’t see Bona hiring a 60 year old to replace a 63 year old. Coaches named as potential replacements are all defense oriented. Bonaventure less 0-9 this year in games decided by 5 points or less and in many of those games had a lead with 5 minutes in the game.
