 Happy about the hire. I like Mike MacDonald and he will connect with the community and players. Good man and knowledgeable about basketball. Will he win? No one really knows that about any coach. Reports are that he will make half of Schmidt’s estimated $1.5 million salary with the balance going to NIL. Just souring on college basketball in general. Even with the additional monies, Bona will be at the low end of NIL monies in the A10. St Louis is upping to $10 million with Dayton and VCU expected to be in the $7 million range before a drop off to $4 million for the next group of schools. Difficult to keep up with those schools never mind the P4 schools.
